“Dancing – however you do it, even if it’s in your living room – is a great work out.”
BEFORE | LIVING ROOM
After transforming the entry and game loft above, it was time to dig in to the living room in our Woodland Hills complete home remodel. Tired of old furniture and muted colors, this family was ready for a colorful change. A home constantly filled with guests and music, we wanted to give them a space to laugh, dance and relax. Move over mauve, there’s a new shade of pink in town.
AFTER | LIVING ROOM
Some design houses have stood the test of time, and Roche Bobois has continued to evolve into the modern age. Crazy for color and pattern, the Mrs. fell head over heels for this mah jong sectional sofa. Each piece is hand sewn and completely convertible to change the arrangement whenever you please. Perfect for a game of Cards Against Humanity while kicking back to some cool tunes and refreshing libations!
Mongolian sheep is one of our favorite textural elements to add softness and gypset style to a room. This ombre pillow matched every tone within this couch. A vintage brass container was hiding in a corner holding some small kindlings for the fire place. It was the perfect vessel to hold a dreamy shade of purple hydrangeas from a trip to the flower market. Just when we thought we’d never find the perfect shade of lilac, these Barcelona lamps swooped in and completed the scene.
Sheepskin rugs are as cozy as they are luxe. With all the colors going on in here, ivory was just what this space needed for a little grounding. An over sized coffee table showcases some favorite coffee table books and Jonathan Adler’s lucite chess set. Whether it’s family game night or a neighborhood soiree, this room is meant to be lived in and enjoyed by people of all ages. Let the party begin!
